Eric Orner is a cartoonist whose comics and graphic stories have appeared in many newspapers magazines and anthologies, including the 2011 edition of Houghton Mifflin’s Best American Comics. For years Eric’s comic strip “The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green” published in San Francisco’s Bay Times. Ethan Green has been anthologized in four books from St. Martin’s Press, and was adapted as a feature film staring Daniel Letterle and Meredith Baxter in 2006.
By day, Eric is an attorney focusing on affordable housing issues and a longtime Congressional staffer, working for years on the Washington staff of former Congressman Barney Frank.
During a three year break from legislative work in the mid 2000s, Eric lived and worked in Jerusalem, an experience that forms the basis of these cartoon stories.
